CMA CGM Group Launches Service To Collect And Recycle Used Paper And Plastic Packaging In Indonesia

• With EASY RECYCLING, CMA CGM offers its customers in Indonesia an innovative service for shipping and logistics.
• A local initiative that follows the Group’s stance to stop transporting plastic waste from June 1, 2022, preventing their export to destinations where sorting, recycling, or recovery cannot be assured.
• An additional product to complete our ACT with CMA CGM+, a complete range of high value-added services to analyze, reduce and offset the environmental footprint of the shipment of our clients’ goods.

The CMA CGM Group, a global player in sea, land, air and logistics, introduces EASY RECYCLING, an innovative recycling solution, to enable its customers with shipments to Jakarta, Indonesia, to dispose of used paper and plastic packaging. EASY RECYCLING will be available only for CMA CGM’s customers in Jakarta as part of a trial aiming to expand the service to other Asian countries thereafter.

EASY RECYCLING, a new CMA CGM+ service

Clients who opt for EASY RECYCLING will unpack their cargo and leave their used packaging in returning containers heading for CMA CGM’s depot in Cakung. From the depot, the used paper and plastic packaging will be picked up and sorted for recycling.
