Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME) start the application of HoloLens 2 in maintenance training for the MET Turbocharger.
This is the first time in the world that HoloLens 2 – a mixed reality device released by Microsoft Corporation in 2019 – is being used in the marine machinery industry.
The deviceʼs wide field of vision and high-resolution graphics allow 3D objects to be manipulated at will, and will enable a near-real maintenance work experience even without the use of a real turbocharger.
What is more, mixed reality will also be used at the MHI-MME booth at Marintec China 2019, being held in Shanghai, China, from December 3 (Tue.) to December 6 (Fri.), 2019.
MHI-MME aims to achieve further growth by further increasing the reliability of its “Met Turbocharger” and by enhancing the quality of the services it provides so that customers can use it with confidence.
