A Russian flagged fishing vessel sank in the Barents Sea according to a local news agency. 17 crew members are missing as five rescue vessels started searching for survivors.
Fishing vessel Onega had a total of 19 crew members when it sank in the northern Barents Sea.
According to the reports, ice accumulation might have led to the sinking of the vessel.
Two crew members have been rescued and one is found dead.
It is said that the vessel lost its stability and capsized before the crew could get time to activate the life rafts.
