A 48-year-old merchant navy cook with more than 12 years of experience lost his job to an acute respiratory disease. As he didn’t pass a medical examination, a necessity to go on ships, he had to give up on his dream to sail again.
The experienced cook has worked on all types of ships, until 2018 when he was diagnosed with Asthma. He spent almost two years for the treatment but unfortunately, he had to let go of his dream job of going back to ships.
After looking for a couple of jobs and failed ventures, he planned to start a food truck as he has seen in several western countries. On the request of family and friends he bought a food trolly and converted it into a kitchen on wheels.
The business slowly started picking up but was eventually slowed down because of the lockdown.
However, things have now started to improve and several of his recipes have become bestsellers among local youths.
His advice to all those struggling due to the Pandemic is to keep chasing their dreams and they will not be disappointed.
