Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, said that the navigation movement in the canal witnessed, on Saturday, the crossing of the giant Panamanian container ship EVER ALP on its first voyage within the southern convoy in the navigational course of the new canal coming from Qingdao port in China and heading to the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The head of the authority stressed that the Suez Canal has proven its leadership and ability to receive all giant container ships with a capacity of 24 thousand containers, as this category of giant ships specializes in crossing the Suez Canal without other shipping lanes to transport trade between Europe and Asia.

In order to ensure the safe passage of the ship, Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie instructed to take all the necessary measures and measures for this and to appoint a group of senior guides in the authority to guide it during its journey across the canal, namely Captain Saeed Fouad, Chief Excellent Guide, and Captain Wael Geneina, Senior Senior Guide, and each of the Captain Ahmed Farraj, Senior Senior Guides.
