An RRB Ship Chartering Private Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, dubbed RRB Ship Chartering Private Limited (RCSPL), has reportedly received its provisional license for operating at GIFT city from the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). The firm plans on beginning its commercial activities by 2023 (March).
A regulatory framework that will enable ship-leasing activities and needs to be at GIFT City is in progress.
The group CEO and MD of GIFT City, Tapan Ray, say that the ship-leasing businesses’ operationalization will create a well-conducive ecosystem for international maritime clusters on par with other maritime zones.
Rajesh Bhojwani, the MD and CEO of RBB Ship Chartering Pte Ltd, Singapore, mentioned that they are a successful bootstrapped firm right now, and their vision by 2027 is to have revenue crossing $7 billion.
