Hurricane Idalia’s arrival in the US has reportedly blocked vessel operations at Georgia’s Port of Savannah.
Vessel operations at Brunswick and Savannah have been suspended for safety purposes from 29 August up to 31 August, per Georgia Port authorities on Tuesday.
They are closely tracking the hurricane’s path as they continue securing their equipment and facilities and prioritize the safety of their employees, customers, and business partners, per the organization.
The hurricane has made its landfall in Florida and been downgraded to a category three storm on Wednesday.
