Eastern Naval Command (abbreviated the ENC) of India’s Navy organized a video conference on 17 October with officials of nations that will take part in MILAN 24.
Besides, MILAN is a well-known biennial multilateral naval exercise conceived in 1995 by the Indian Navy.
This year’s MILAN is being held at Visakhapatnam from 19 February 2024.
The MILAN 24 harbour phase will include the Swavlamban Exhibition, City Parade at RK Beach, International Maritime Seminar, Subject Matter Expert Exchange, and a meeting of young and enthusiastic officers.
Ships, submarines, and maritime patrol aircraft of friendly foreign countries will take part in the sea phase of the exercise with India’s Navy units.
The run-up to the much-awaited MILAN is reportedly concomitant with India’s G20 Presidency. Such an exercise will once again realize the Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’s G20 theme.
