The “Gallant Knight 3” operation, which aims to lessen the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, saw the arrival in Al Arish City of a UAE aid vessel that was carrying 4,016 tons of humanitarian supplies in preparation for its arrival in Gaza.
Witnesses of the vessel’s arrival included Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, the Assistant Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs as well as of International Cooperation in International Development Affairs; the UAE Ambassador to Egypt, Mariam Khalifa Al Kaabi; the Deputy Secretary-General of the Local Affairs Sector at the Emirates Red Crescent, Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri; and the Governor of North Sinai, Major General Dr Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha.
3,465 tons of food supplies and 420 tons of shelter supplies were loaded onto the ship before it sailed from the port of Fujairah. Along with the Emirates Red Crescent, it also carried 131 tons of medical supplies from the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
Per Sultan Al Shamsi, the UAE was among the first nations that helped the Palestinian people by sending humanitarian aid to Gaza. Rashid Al Mansouri emphasized that the provision of this aid serves as a reminder of the UAE’s commitment to promoting policies and development initiatives that benefit the Palestinian population impacted by the Gaza crisis.
Prior to the 15th of December, the UAE provided about 7,523 tons of assistance to the Palestinian people inside “Gallant Knight 3,” and there were 111 aircraft inside the UAE air bridge and more than 63 trucks.
