Per the U.S military’s Central Command, the attack caused major damage to the vessel and an 18-mile oil slick.
The first time it was attacked, it was transporting more than 41,000 tonnes of fertiliser.
British maritime security firm Ambrey said it got several reports of another incident involving the Rubymar on Friday. It also noted that many Yemenis were harmed in the second incident, which happened on February 29.
Rubymar was around 16 nautical miles west of Yemen’s Mokha at the time of the second incident, Ambrey added.
