Disney Cruise Line has made the announcement that many were waiting for. This week it revealed its cruise ship’s Marvel-themed entertainment spaces and what they offer, a truly exciting occasion for Marvel fans.
The Disney Destiny, a hero and villain-themed vessel will have experiences based on Iron Man, Black Panther and Doctor Strange.
The ship which will begin sailing in December 2025, has a Grand Hall with a Black Panther-themed area with a stature of T’Challa and a fixture inspired by Vibranium.
The Sanctum will be the Cruise Line’s first lounge which will be themed per the movie Doctor Strange.
Also, for the first time in the cruise line’s history, a Marvel hero, Spider-Man and Spider Bots will become the signature stern character.
The new ship will be heaven for character fans as it also has a penthouse suite themed on Tony Stark and features Worlds of Marvel Dining Experience and Marvel Superhero Academy for teens and children.
Disney also revealed the ship’s bars with their design inspired by Cruella de Vil, the Haunted Mansion and the Pirates of the Caribbean.
They also tested a new dining experience inspired by a sweet shop, Edna A La Mode and the Lion King.
Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President of Disney Cruise Line said that Disney Destiny is about celebrating the bold, courageous characters of our favourite movies and shows and added who are they without the villains to fight against, hence the theme of the ship Hero and Villains.
She added that the cruise line wants the guests to have the most fun onboard this new Disney ship which pays tribute to heroes, villains, anti-heroes and mischief-makers who have captivated the hearts of Disney movies and Disney theme park visitors for years.
