The vessel made its maiden call at Jebel Ali Port.
The newly acquired vessel has been integrated into DP World’s Shipping Solutions network, operating on the Red Sea-Gulf-India route.
With a capacity of over 5,000 TEU, the ship strengthens connectivity between Indian ports and major Middle Eastern hubs.
The maiden call at Jebel Ali confirms its full deployment into the service loop. The addition increases Shipping Solutions’ total owned capacity to more than 6 million TEU.
Ganesh Raj, Global Chief Operating Officer, Marine Services at DP World, stated that the acquisition enhances the company’s ability to provide consistent and scheduled connections across the India-Middle East corridor.
He added that the objective is not only to expand capacity but to improve flexibility and ensure shipments move as planned.
DP World said the acquisition forms part of its strategy to build a diversified and resilient maritime network. The company continues to invest in proprietary assets while increasing integration between its port terminals and marine services.

Trade volumes between India and the Middle East have continued to grow, particularly across energy, manufactured goods, consumer products, and industrial cargo.
Shipping reliability has become increasingly important amid global supply chain disruptions over recent years.
By expanding owned tonnage, DP World aims to reduce dependence on chartered capacity and improve service predictability for shippers operating across the Red Sea and Gulf region.
Earlier this year, DP World’s Shipping Solutions business advanced to 15th position in Alphaliner’s global Top 50 carriers ranking.
The company has also announced plans to invest $5 billion in India’s trade infrastructure in the coming years.
Shipping Solutions has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with India’s Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
