Lise worked her way up from Third Officer to Second Officer and eventually became Chief Officer in 2019.

Lise’s passion for the sea stems from her upbringing in a small village called Nuvsvåg in Norway. She comes from a family of fishermen, and even at 70, her father continues fishing. Lise has always been by his side on fishing trips and still joins him whenever she’s back home. Her deep connection to the maritime world and support for her father’s passion shaped her decision to pursue a career at sea.

Initially, Lise didn’t plan to work outside of Norway after finishing her studies. However, after gaining experience on a fishing boat for a year, she felt the urge for new challenges. In 2010, she reached out to Odfjell, inspired by the opportunities they offered. Lise started her career as a deck cadet on the Bow Chain vessel and has been part of the Odfjell family ever since, embracing the exciting experiences the company provides.
