The Kyrgyz Republic has become the newest State in the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which now comprises 176 Member States. On 27 February this year, Kyrgyzstan deposited its instrument of acceptance to the IMO Convention with the UN.
Arsenio Dominguez, IMO’s Secretary-General, declared the new Member State to the delegates of the Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (abbreviated SSE 10), welcoming Kyrgyzstan wholeheartedly to the IMO family.
