ACL & Partners Launch Fastest Transatlantic Freight Service Between North America & Ireland

Atlantic Container Line AB (ACL), in collaboration with BG Freight Line (BGFL) and Peel Ports, has announced a new, faster shipping service between Ireland and North America.

The service is expected to significantly improve transit times and reliability, setting a new standard for maritime transportation.

The improved BGFL Liverpool-Ireland service, which will begin in two weeks, will significantly improve efficiency.

The revised itinerary offers timely departures from Belfast on Mondays and Dublins on Fridays, with seamless connections to ACL vessels in Liverpool on Saturdays.

The ships will return to Dublin on Sundays and Belfast on Mondays, enabling an immediate turnaround for further excursions.

The inaugural journey of this faster service departs from New York on May 10, 2024, aboard the Atlantic Sun, ushering in a new era of transatlantic shipping.

Following a strategic route that includes crucial North American ports such as Baltimore and Halifax, the vessel will connect with JSP ANNA in Liverpool before making its final call in Belfast and Dublin.

The westbound part of the route, led by the JSP ANNA and departing from Belfast and Dublin, intends to maintain efficiency momentum.

The vessel will connect with the Atlantic Sea at Liverpool before traversing the Atlantic to ports in North America, including Baltimore, Halifax, New York, and Norfolk.

The route offers transit times to and from Dublin and Belfast that are 1-2 weeks faster than existing transatlantic routes.
