Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has officially launched its second superyacht, the 448-passenger Ilma. The $600 million Ilma, unveiled on September 2, is the world’s largest hotel-branded superyacht.
The Ilma’s debut comes after many challenges, including construction delays and a change of shipbuilders. Initially contracted to a Spanish shipyard, the project was transferred to Chantiers de l’Atlantique in St. Nazaire, France.
The vessel has a hybrid liquid natural gas system designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions while allowing for the use of sustainable fuels in the future.
A new management team has been established to guide the brand’s future. It is led by CEO Jim Murren, who formerly worked for MGM Resorts International.

Ilma, measuring 790 feet, is much larger than Evrima, which is 628 feet. Based on guest feedback from the Evrima, the new ship incorporates several modifications, including increased spaces per passenger and a focus on enhancing sea views and experiences.
Accommodation rates begin at $2,600 per cabin per night, and the ship provides an exclusive experience for its passengers.
Ilma has luxurious amenities, including a main pool over the top deck surrounded by daybeds and loungers. The Marina, a popular feature on Evrima, has been upgraded to incorporate a floating platform designed by AquaBanas for more water activities.
The new superyacht has eight massive “owner suites” and four Concierge Suites, each with private outdoor spaces, marble interiors, and bespoke furnishings. The vessel’s attractions include a larger Ritz-Carlton Spa with 11 treatment rooms, an expanded cycling studio, and Michelin-quality dining.
Ilma’s dining options include the open-air pan-Latin Beach House, which features an infinity splash pool, and Seta su Ilma, an intimate restaurant serving an 11-course modern Italian tasting menu. For nightlife experiences, the Living Room, a high-ceilinged pub with a dance floor, and Mistral, a Mediterranean-inspired nightclub, are also available.
The superyacht will travel between the Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons, with upcoming July itineraries to Northern Europe and the Baltic region.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection plans to expand with three additional ships and is exploring other Marriott luxury brands. The company recently raised $300 million through a senior secured bond offering to help finance Ilma and a sister ship, Luminara, which is set to launch next July.
The company will now offer shorter three- and four-night trips in addition to its seven-night long cruises. Luxury activities include helicopter trips to Barbuda for a master sushi session and sunset sailing with a private chef.
The 452-passenger Luminara, the next ship in line, will explore the Asia-Pacific region beginning in December 2025.
