China’s 2nd domestically constructed cruise ship has been named Adora Flora City after Guangzhou’s moniker of ‘Flower City’.
It is expected to be delivered by 2026 end and will embark on global routes from Guangzhou, its homeport. The cruise ship will offer a culturally rich travelling experience.
The massive ship will have 2130 cabins for around 5232 passengers with beautiful public spaces, suites and an atrium. It has cultural elements which are inspired by the history of the Silk Road and Lingnan heritage.
Yang Guobing, Chairman of Adora Cruises stated that as the nation’s premier cruise brand, they will expand the fleet, and enhance guest experience with the newest ship Adora Flora City.
They aim to enhance their cruise plus culture strategy by imbibing more traditional elements to provide guests with a personalised and high-end experience onboard their ships.
On the other hand, the Adora Mediterranea will leave from Guangzhou on December 18, 2024, providing itineraries ranging from 3 to 6 days, visiting places like Japan, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
This marks the expansion of Adora Cruises to sail from northern, eastern and southern ports in China.
Presently, the Asian Cruise Line has two cruise ships, the Adora Magic City, the first major cruise vessel constructed in China and the Adora Mediterranea which have served around 380,000 guests.
