The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), an international humanitarian initiative delivering aid to Gaza, reported that one of its boats, the British-flagged Alma, was hit by a drone while docked at a Tunisian port on September 9. This marks the second such attack in two days.
The flotilla said the top deck of the vessel caught fire but was quickly extinguished, and all passengers and crew remained unharmed.
Crew members recovered a charred electronic device from the deck, which the group said indicated the boat had been deliberately targeted. An investigation is underway, and more details will be shared once available.

The GSF shared a video on Instagram showing a bright object hitting the boat and flames erupting onboard, though Reuters could not immediately verify the footage.
Following the incident, hundreds of people gathered near the port waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans against Israel and the United States. Several ambulances and Tunisian coastguard boats were reported at the site.
The flotilla accused Israel of carrying out the attacks. A GSF organiser said Israel was violating international law and trying to intimidate them, but the group remains committed to sailing to Gaza to break the naval blockade.

This incident comes a day after the flotilla reported another drone strike in Tunisian waters at the Sidi Bou Said port, which Tunisian authorities said did not occur. The repeated attacks coincided with intensified Israeli military operations against Palestinians in Gaza.
The GSF includes delegations from 44 countries, including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and Portuguese politician Mariana Mortágua.
In June, Israeli forces boarded and seized another British-flagged flotilla yacht carrying Thunberg, dismissing the mission as a propaganda effort supporting Hamas.
