The United Arab Emirates has started preparing and loading the Saqr Humanitarian Ship with relief aid for the Gaza Strip, under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
The initiative follows directives from Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and is being managed by the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation.
Preparations began at the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre, while loading is taking place at Ras Al Khaimah Port.
The ship is set to sail to Al Arish Port in Egypt, where the aid will be arranged for delivery to Gaza.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 was launched under directives from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to help civilians affected by the crisis in Gaza.
The humanitarian cargo, estimated at 4,000 tonnes, includes food, health supplies, shelter materials, medical equipment, medicines and relief parcels.
The aid is aimed at supporting the most vulnerable, including children, women and elderly people.
Volunteers from across the UAE, including citizens and residents, have helped pack and assemble the relief parcels, showing strong community involvement in the humanitarian effort.
This shipment is the 12th under the Saqr humanitarian programme and highlights Ras Al Khaimah’s role in supporting the UAE’s national and regional relief initiatives.
The operation shows the UAE’s ongoing commitment to helping those in need through coordinated humanitarian efforts.
